Launch of Hotel Sector Recovery Plan

The GHTA received funding from the Government of Canada for the purpose of drafting a sector-wide economic recovery plan that will be used to guide lobbying, programming and fundraising activities, which it is expected will stimulate economic recovery for the hotel sector.

Members of the Board of Directors met with Mrs. Debbie Des Rosiers – Counsellor (Foreign Policy and Diplomacy) at the Canadian High Commission, Barbados recently to discuss the project where a cheque for the sum of EC $39,527.14 was handed over to the GHTA. Mrs. Jennifer Alexis of Ethical Ideas has been contracted to draft the recovery plan.

When completed, the document will be used as a core communications tool with Government, stakeholders, and agencies, which would harmonize the efforts of all stake holders approaches to economic recovery in Grenada, in an informed and focused way.
