Visitors contributing to a stronger Grenada
The Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) turns voluntary visitor contributions into meaningful investment in Grenada’s environment, communities and tourism industry.
Guests staying at participating tourism properties are invited to contribute US$2 per night. One hundred per cent of these contributions goes directly to the Tourism Enhancement Fund, supporting projects that protect Grenada’s natural resources, strengthen communities, improve essential infrastructure and enhance the visitor experience.
Managed by the Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association (GHTA), the TEF provides a structured way for the tourism industry and the people who visit Grenada to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the destination.

The Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF) was created to foster growth and development within the tourism sector, ensure sustainable progress in the industry, and improve Grenada’s overall visitor experience. Guests and island visitors are encouraged to participate in these exciting initiatives by donating $2 for each night of their stay in Grenada, which will go entirely to the Tourism Enhancement Fund.
The TEF has been essential in positioning Grenada as a competitive tourist destination. Key contributors have played a vital role in promoting the island’s sustainable development. The Tourism Enhancement Fund has recently supported initiatives like the Underwater Sculpture Park, dive locations like Tyrell Bay and Anina, and a hyperbaric chamber. Additionally, the TEF has been instrumental in protecting marine protected areas, enhancing tourist attractions, and training hospitality professionals. In 2025, TEF significantly contributed to private and public entities, continuing the mission and commitment to the local tourism product.

In July 2025, the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) successfully hosted its first Hospitality Camp, designed to inspire and equip young Grenadians with practical skills and exposure to careers in the tourism and hospitality industry. Twenty-four high school students—one from each high school in the tri-island state—participated.
Throughout the camp, participants took part in interactive workshops, practical training sessions, and visits to top hotels, restaurants, and attractions. Industry professionals mentored students in various fields, including customer service, culinary arts, front desk operations, tour guiding, and sustainable tourism practices.
The program also focused on developing soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving—skills vital for both professional success and personal growth. By directly connecting youth with employers and industry leaders, the camp reinforced GHTA’s dedication to cultivating the next generation of tourism professionals and ensuring the sector’s sustained growth and excellence in Grenada.
In partnership with the Ministry of Education, the GHTA Hospitality Camp aimed to motivate the next generation of tourism professionals by giving campers a unique opportunity to explore various parts of the industry. Students gained insights into important areas, including Human Resources, Public Relations, Finance, Health & Safety, Spa Services, Wedding Planning, Marketing, Food & Beverage, and more.

The TEF’s Hospitality Camp gives young people hands-on training, real-world skills, and a front-row seat to the hospitality and tourism industry. By investing in our youth, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable future for Grenada.
You stay. You contribute. Grenada benefits.
Voluntary contributions from guests are pooled through the Tourism Enhancement Fund and invested in projects that create measurable benefits for Grenada.
A strong tourism industry depends on more than hotels, attractions and visitor arrivals. It depends on healthy communities, protected natural resources, resilient infrastructure and people equipped to participate in the opportunities tourism creates.
The Tourism Enhancement Fund helps channel visitor contributions into initiatives that strengthen those foundations and support Grenada’s development as a sustainable and competitive destination.
