Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa Ranked No.1 Hotel with No.1 Restaurants by TripAdvisor
GRENADA (23 Nov 2015) One of the Caribbean’s leading boutique hotels, Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa (www.calabashhotel.com) in Grenada has once again achieved a great milestone.
TripAdvisor has ranked the family owned and run hotel, which is known for combining five star service and luxury within a relaxed and intimate environment, the number 1 hotel out of 38 hotels in Grenada for several years.
The hotel’s two restaurants, The Beach Club at Calabash and Rhodes Restaurant have now also achieved number 1 status on the world famous travel website. The Beach Club at Calabash is ranked number 1 out of 176 restaurants in Grenada and Rhodes Restaurant is ranked as number 1 out of 55 restaurants in St George’s.
Earlier this year Calabash was also awarded TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Awards as #7 of the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the Caribbean, #8 of the Top 25 Hotels in the Caribbean, #16 of the Top 25 Hotels for Romance in the Caribbean, and was also inducted into the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame.
This achievement comes after the news that the Calabash was named the number 2 hotel in the Caribbean by British Airways High Life magazine and Rhodes Restaurant achieved a spot on the 50 Best Caribbean Restaurants list by Caribbean Journal for the third year in a row.
Calabash’s Director Adéle Garbutt, a member of the owning family states, “We are all utterly delighted by what we are calling a hat trick. Having the hotel and both restaurants ranked as number one by TripAdvisor is a huge achievement and a testament to all our wonderful staff and to our extremely talented chefs, Dexter Burris at Rhodes and Mark Banthorpe at The Beach Club.”
The Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa has recently reopened after an 11-week closure period. During the closure the hotel’s management refurbished the bathrooms of 14 suites and purchased new Italian furniture for all guest bedrooms.
In addition, the hotel is pleased to announce the opening of the much-anticipated Wellness Centre. Calabash’s new Wellness Centre houses a multi treatment room spa (due to open in Oct 2016), fitness suite, juice bar and a relaxation pool.
The all-suite Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa attracts high-end travellers due to its reputation for combining five star service and luxury within a relaxed and intimate environment. The hotel is proudly home to two of the best restaurants on the island, Rhodes Restaurant and The Beach Club. Calabash boasts a waterfront Spa, Estate Homes and luxurious beach side suites, some with private pools. The hotel offers the unique and gracious service of breakfast served to guests on their suite’s private balcony or on the beach each morning.
Nightly rates range from US$475 – US$1810 per room, based on two people sharing one suite.
