GHTA Brightening Christmas for Children In Need
Christmas is right around the corner and everyone is getting ready to bring out the decorations and buy presents. During this festive time, The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is embarking on a Toy Drive initiative to bring the Christmas cheer to hundreds of children in need Grenada.
With rising inflation and a looming global economic recession, many families may be unable to afford presents this year. GHTA will be collaborating with active community organisations and generous volunteers to host its first ever Toy Drive.
From now until December 15th GHTA will be accepting donations at its office on the 2nd floor of the Ocean House Building, Morne Rouge, St. George. The organisation would really appreciate the support from the community to make this initiative a success. Additionally, the entity will also be making a large donation of toys toward the drive.
CEO of GHTA Arlene Friday said, “The GHTA Toy Drive really means a lot to us. This magical time of year is an opportunity for all of us to spread joy and cheer to our children. GHTA is proud to donate to local communities with the goal of making the season brighter for children in need. Together, we can put smiles on the faces of hundreds of kids.”
It is the perfect time to give back to our communities. What better way to end the year than bringing joy to the lives of children? We encourage as many people as possible to take part in this Toy Drive and make this Christmas one to remember.
