The Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) is a quasi-cooperative founded by farmers for farmers. Its primary goal is to promote and safeguard the interests of the Nutmeg Industry, and to assist farmers in developing and marketing their produce locally, regionally, and internationally. The association was established on March 27, 1947, through an Act of Parliament called the Nutmeg Industry Act Chapter 215 of 2010, laws of Grenada. GCNA prides itself on its core values of sustainability, social responsibility, prudent management, total quality, and accountability. This legacy has enabled GCNA to exist for 75 years and grow from trading raw nutmegs and mace to agro-processed products.
