GHTA Donates Air Conditioner Units to TAMCC

On behalf of the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association, the newly appointed CEO, Ms. Arlene Friday along with Director, Mr. Mark Kitchen donated six air conditioner units to Dr. Jeffrey Britton, Principal of TAMCC amid a special handover ceremony organized at TAMCC today. The donated units valued at $13,000XCD were procured through the assistance of the GHTA.

During the handover ceremony, the Principal of TAMCC, Dr. Jeffrey Britton, expressed sincere gratitude to the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association for providing these units to TAMCC. These units will service three classrooms and will help to provide a conducive learning
environment for students. He also highlighted the excellent relationship that exists between GHTA and TAMCC and looks forward to a continued productive relationship within the hospitality and tourism sector.

Ms. Arlene Friday stated on behalf of the GHTA, “ that this donation of air conditioner units not only displays our commitment to a continued strong relationship with TAMCC but that it would also become a seed to invest in the future of young, skilled and qualified leaders within the tourism and hospitality sector that blossoms for Grenada tomorrow.”

The ceremony continued with a vocal rendition of Mariah Carey’s, “Hero”, performed by Liston Noel, a Culinary Arts student followed by words of appreciation from fellow Culinary Arts Student, Mr. Cayel Mc Guire. Mr. MC Guire expressed that the AC units’ benefits
students’ by helping to increase their attention while learning and ultimately assists them to achieve overall success.

The ceremony culminated with the ribbon cutting of an air conditioner unit with Ms. Arlene Friday, CEO of the GHTA and Dr. Jeffrey Britoon, Principal of TAMCC.

The Dean of the School of Applied Arts and Technology, Mrs. Marlene Abraham-Finlay, the Associate Dean of School of the School of Applied Arts and Technology and Chair, Mrs. Merlisia John, Lecturer, Mr. Stephen John, as well as hospitality and tourism students were also present.
