GHTA Continues to Lobby & Advocate
The Board of Directors intend to focus strongly on advocacy and lobbying on behalf of members. They look foward to engaging Ministers of Government and Permanent Secretaries in Ministries such as Labour, Finance, Education, Foreign Affairs and Works as well as Tourism in order to build stronger ties to get the GHTA’s concerns across. These persons will be entertained to breakfast, lunch or dinner by Directors and the topics discussed will be written about and distributed on the GHTA website, social media platforms and the media. Members will also be informed through the GHTA newsletter.
The Board intends to lobby strongly for concessions on consumables (non food items) in order to ensure that the tourism product retains a good standard. Meetings will be held with Ministers and will involve the Head of the GIDC.
The Board will continue to lobby for reduction on the high cost of electricity.
